Here is a fun way to wear shorts as the temperature falls.

Traditionally shorts are part of our summer, fall, and spring wardrobes but you don't have to stash away all your shorts! There are definitely types of shorts that can be paired up with tights and worn during the winter season. Winter shorts are usually the ones made from thicker material like wool or leather. It is basically the same as wearing a skirt with tights during colder months. If you are using black pair of tights you can easily pair it up with any shorts! I have even seen people do it with jean shorts, but haven't been bold enough myself to try that out. Here I wore the shorts with a camel sweater. However, in this situation any kind of top would have went well. You could wear a blazer if you want to make it more chic and wear it for a formal affair.

If you are worried about staying warm in them you can wear over-the-knee boots with the shorts to stay cozy. Another solution is to pair up the shorts with a long sweater cardigan. Either option will allow you to try out this fun combination and stay warm!
