Hi all! If you have been following the blog for a while, I bet you have noticed how much I love a-line skirts a bit like from the New Look era in the 1950s. I think because of how much I love it I will make a separate post dedicated to it haha! But for now, I wanted to share the rose-appliqué-inspired outfit! I am sure you have noticed what a hit it has been this summer! This intricate embroidery can be found on just about anything! I think it's the perfect detail for someone who has a feminine, romantic style. What could be a more romantic flower than a rose? I paired up this outfit for an evening walk in Baku, Azerbaijan. This combo could be great for various occasions! For a day out, a brunch, a shopping trip, or a date. Due to how light the fabrics are, it was bearable to wear that in the 90+ degree weather. The hat was a perfect addition to keep my face in the shade. Now I wanted to share a few of my impressions of Baku! Such a beautiful city! I absolutely loved the mixed architecture from different time periods. You could find a mix from the Renaissance, Stalin, and more modern times. For those of you who love architecture I recommend checking my Instagram for a picture with the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center. That building has no sharp angles! It's amazing! Other places that are worth seeing are the Flame Towers, Crystal Hall, and the Maiden Tower. A lot of the places that we have seen are protected by the UNESCO World Heritage which made it even more special to see! I know Azerbaijan seems like a crazy place to travel. It's not as recognizable as NYC or Paris but I love seeing ALL parts of the world and this was definitely worth it! I have to thank my wonderful, adventurous parents for taking me to unique places throughout the world! They are the ones who inspire me to continue to travel and explore! Like one of my favorite quotes says, "I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list".
