Living in the city can be a lot. People are always running somewhere, and the city itself never sleeps. So every so often it's nice to get out of the city.

One of my first weekends living in the city, I got to explore Governor's Island with these sweet old and new friends! The island is just a short ~10 min ferry ride. It's so quiet and peaceful out there. We ended up spending the afternoon at a place called Island Oyster. It was perfect spending a day outside under bright yellow striped umbrellas ha. This place had yummy oysters and other great appetizers and refreshing drinks! Most importantly, Island Oysters is located right by the water overlooking the beautiful Manhattan skyline! It was a breathtaking view. 10/10 recommend this for a perfect Sunday afternoon to spend time with friends!
